Criminal Investigations Bureau

The Criminal Investigations Bureau is directed by a Bureau Commander and managed by a
Lieutenant. The Bureau is further supported by a Criminal Investigations Bureau Coordinator
who provides critical administrative support, including case preparation and filing, management
of digital evidence, and coordination related to departmental communications and social
media. Collectively, the Bureau is responsible for criminal analytics, effective investigations, and
prosecution of reported criminal incidents.

Investigation Unit

The Investigation Unit is staffed by five Detectives and supervised by a Sergeant. The
Unit is responsible for the identification and apprehension of offenders, evidence
processing, recovery of stolen property, and the prosecution of adult—and when
appropriate, juvenile—offenders. Detectives are assigned to investigate criminal
complaints classified as Part I offenses, felonies, and other serious misdemeanors.

Intelligence Unit

The Intelligence Unit is staffed by three Detectives and supervised by a Lieutenant. The
Unit develops and disseminates intelligence related to narcotics investigations, street
