                       crimes, property crimes, and patterned or organized criminal activity. In addition, the
                       Unit provides internal and external law-enforcement training to support professional
                       development while fostering collaboration with community partners.


                       Juvenile Unit

                       The Juvenile Unit is staffed by two Detectives and is supervised by the same Sergeant
                       overseeing the Intelligence and Investigation Units. The Unit serves as a liaison to School
                       Districts and oversees the implementation of the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Diversion
                       Program, supporting early intervention and alternative responses for youth.


                       Property Management Unit

                       The Property Management Unit is staffed by a Property Custodian and supervised by a
                       lieutenant. The Unit is responsible for the custody, care, and accountability of property
                       and evidence seized in connection with incidents and investigations. Responsibilities
                       include the lawful release, disposal, and auction of lost, stolen, abandoned, or judicially
                       authorized property.

                       Crime Analysis

                       The Intelligence Unit supervisor is responsible for analyzing and tracking intelligence,
                       maintaining intelligence files, proac vely addressing crime trends, dissemina ng
                       intelligence informa on and criminal analysis data, and aiding in inves ga ve ac vity.
                       The supervisor is also the Department’s Intelligence Liaison Officer (ILO).



                       Traffic Control Unit

                       The Traffic Control Unit is staffed by one full-time and one part-time Assistant Signal
                       Superintendent. The Unit manages the operation and maintenance of all traffic and
                       pedestrian signalization throughout the city and maintains traffic control devices, street
                       name signs, and roadway markings in coordination with the Public Works Street
                       Program.

                       Fleet Maintenance Unit

                       The Fleet Maintenance Unit is staffed by a part-time Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator
                       who oversees preventive maintenance scheduling, vehicle repairs, and equipment up-
                       fitting. These efforts are focused on minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring the
                       operational readiness of the Department’s fleet. The coordinator also serves in a part-
                       time Assistant capacity supporting related operational needs.
