Recruitment & Workforce Development
The Bureau ac vely supported department-wide recruitment ini a ves through community
engagement events, applicant outreach, mentorship of prospec ve candidates, and
par cipa on in hiring processes. Officers assisted with background inves ga ons, candidate
ride a long, and academy prepara on efforts to strengthen the department’s hiring pipeline.
Community Engagement
Community engagement remained a cornerstone of the Bureau’s mission. Officers regularly
attended neighborhood meetings and community events and partnered with organizations
such as The Cleveland Division of Police, the Shaker Heights Parent Teacher Organization, and
business leadership in the Van Aken District. These partnerships supported cooperative traffic
enforcement efforts and security planning for community races and events.
