The Bureau also led several high impact
community initiatives, including the 30th
session of the Shaker Heights Citizens Police
Academy, the annual Touch a Truck event,
and the 3rd Annual National Night Out.
Additional outreach included canine
demonstrations and participation in the
Summer Youth Academy, further
strengthening trust and collaboration with
residents.

Awards & Recognition

The Bureau’s performance was recognized through multiple honors:

 Community Traffic Safety Platinum Award from AAA (third consecutive year)
 100% Jail Inspection Rating from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction
 Perfect Audit from the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway
 $10,000 OVI Overtime Reimbursement Grant from University Hospitals
