AdministraƟve Services Bureau
The Administra ve Services Bureau is directed by a Bureau Commander who also serves as the
Department’s Custodian of Public Records, Training Coordinator, Early Iden fica on System
Coordinator, and Internal Affairs Officer. The Bureau is further supported by one civilian
employee designated as the Department’s Accredita on Manager, who oversees compliance
with professional standards and accredita on requirements.
Police InformaƟon Unit
The Police Informa on Unit is staffed by a civilian Records Supervisor and six non-sworn
civilian employees. The Records Supervisor is responsible for the collec on, processing,
reten on, and dissemina on of departmental records. This includes assigning and
overseeing specialized func ons such as the Terminal Coordinator to train and cer fy
users of the Law Enforcement Automated Data System (L.E.A.D.S.).
The Records Supervisor maintains extensive knowledge of the Department’s Records
Management System (Motorola RMS) and directs unit opera ons accordingly. The
Informa on Unit rou nely shares records with sworn personnel, the courts, Chagrin
Valley Dispatch Communica ons Center, The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and The
Ohio Department of Public Safety.
